Have you ever been to Antwerp? Well if the answer is no, you absolutely need to put it on your travel wish list because it is such an amazing city and I’ve got you covered for the place to stay, where to eat and what to visit. Today I am showing you the answer to where to stay in Antwerp and the others will be answered within this week, so be excited.
A week and a half ago, I visited Antwerpen with my dear friend Carmen, who is a Luxemburgish blogger like me (visit her blog here), for the Beauty Press Day. We were so excited to see all the new collections and wanted to stay for the night as Antwerpen is a four-hour car drive away from Luxemburg.
We had the chance to stay at the Boulevard Leopold an amazing B&B. I was fascinated from the first moment on because it felt like I was entering a new world. Everything had been put together with so much love to the details and respecting the style of the house. Martin, the owner of the house, welcomed us so warmly that I felt like at a family members house which made me feel comfortable. He showed us our room and Carmen and me, we honestly couldn’t believe our luck and we were speechless. Martin was looking at us to see our reactions and we were simply blown away.
Honestly, when Martin left us in our room to get our bags and to unpack, we didn’t unpack. We immediately took photos of every single detail in our room. The only word that could describe this place is beautiful.
I welcome you to the tour of our lovely room, which was so stunning and unique. By the way, every room is different as you can see from the pictures above, everything is unique and put together with a lot of love and well thought through.
This was the amazing bath we had in our room. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to take pictures in it but it was like a dream come true. Truly Bathroom goals. Don’t you think?
Welcome to “Alice in Wonderland”
This was our breakfast table. Martin puts everything together and sets the table for everyone who is staying at Boulevard Leopold. The whole setting stays within the style of the house and everything is real porcelain. Even though the B&B is in front of a busy street, you don’t hear the noise when you are taking your breakfast. On the contrary, you feel calm and relaxed and you can even look into the little fairytale garden of the house.
Martin also took the time to chat with us while we were having our breakfast. He told us the history of the house and how he became the owner. Boulevard Leopold was built in 1890 by a Jew who wanted to buy this house for his family. After that, a professor bought the house and it stayed for generations in the same family, for about 70 years. Martin is proud to be the 4th owner of the house.
A big thank you to you Martin for having us and giving us the possibility to experience a magical stay in Wonderland. Also, thank you for making us feel like beeing at home in a different century.
