Hello, my loves😊. For most of us, the most stressful time in a year (exam period) is over and even if I study from home, I tend to write my exams the exact same times like everybody else. After these long nights staying up with all my books getting ready for the next exam, stress and commitment keep me going, but once the exam period is over my stress levels drop and I tend to get sick very fast. ( Of course, it also happened this time🤷🏻♀️) So it is damn time to take care of yourself and get your body right back on track.
TAKING A HOT BATH🛁 WITH A CUP OF TEA☕️
One of the biggest treats in general, and totally essentially when getting a cold, is a good old hot bath. Preferably with some bath oil that gets you relaxed and opens up all your pores to get rid of the toxins. I always underestimated the power of a hot bath🛁 and I can truly tell you if you are not feeling well, take an hour and get yourself comfortable in your bath (of course if you have one). It also reduces pain as it relaxes your muscles and makes you feel fresh again. Another thing I like to use is Arnika oil from Weleda, which is available in specific pharmacies such as Shop Apotheke, which have a wide range of Weleda products. Arnika oil also relaxes the muscles and relieves pain.
CUDDLE WITH THE DOG🐶 AND GET SOME REST
One of my favorite things to do when I am not feeling well is spending all day in bed with Kiwi🐶. Cuddling and watching a new series keeps me lying down and relaxing, other than running around and checking my to-do list all the time. Especially during exam periods, I forget to take care of myself and a cold is not far away, after the stress levels drop. If I decide to take a long nap in the afternoon, a sleeping mask always comes handy as well as some relaxing Lavender oil, which I love to use to calm my body and get it ready to fall asleep.
READING A BOOK AND LIGHTING SOME CANDLES
For the ultimate comfy and snuggly feeling, I love to grab a book and light some candles to calm my body and my mind down. It gets my mind of the things going on at that moment and unwinding even more. I also love to use scented candles for that purpose, especially if they are made with essential oils as they have a different physical effect on your body depending on which one you are using.
